Proficiency levels (A1–C2)
A1 — Beginner

A2 — Elementary
Describe your daily life, talk about past events using basic past-tense forms, and handle simple social conversations. Begin reading short adapted texts.
B1 — Intermediate
Discuss opinions and plans, understand the gist of news programs, and write connected paragraphs. Start mastering the six grammatical cases in common contexts.
B2 — Upper-Intermediate
Engage in extended conversations with native speakers, understand complex articles, and write detailed essays. Gain a solid command of verb aspects (perfective vs. imperfective).
C1 — Advanced
Express yourself fluently and precisely on abstract and professional topics. Read literature and academic texts, and produce well-structured formal documents.
C2 — Mastery
Near-native command of Russian. Understand any spoken or written text, appreciate stylistic nuances, and write publication-ready prose.

Our teaching approach
Your first lesson is a diagnostic session: we assess your level and build your plan around it. We use an immersive, communicative approach: lessons are conducted predominantly in Russian, supplemented by English explanations when needed.
Materials range from classic textbooks to contemporary podcasts, YouTube channels, and Russian social media, keeping lessons practical and up to date.
